Chicago Bears: 2026 NFL Draft Preview

How They Got Here

The Bears went 7-10 in Williams' rookie season, then broke through in Year 2 (10-7, wild card win). The turnaround has been dramatic. Williams looked like a franchise quarterback, and the supporting cast (D.J. Moore, Keenan Allen, Cole Kmet) stepped up. But the playoff loss exposed the offensive line — again.

Team Needs

OLEDGETE

Chicago picks at #25 after a breakout 10-7 season and wild card win over the Eagles. Caleb Williams took a massive leap in Year 2 (28 TDs, 9 INTs, 96.4 rating), and the Bears are legitimate NFC contenders. But they lost to Washington in the divisional round (34-24) when the offensive line collapsed down the stretch. Williams was sacked 5 times. The line is still the weakness — but Chicago is no longer rebuilding.

Draft Outlook

Interior line is the priority if Bisontis or another guard falls to #29. Miller addresses the defensive line. Sadiq gives Williams a mismatch weapon. The Bears have built a contender — now they need to protect the quarterback who makes it go.

Top Prospect Fits

1. Chase Bisontis

OGTexas A&M

A textbook interior lineman with surgical footwork. At 6-4, 310 lbs, Bisontis would immediately upgrade Chicago's interior and protect Williams. The Bears can't waste his development — fix the line. Odds: +175 to go #29 (favorite).

2. Christen Miller

DTGeorgia

A two-gap DT with a nonstop motor. At 6-3, 305 lbs, Miller's block deconstruction and effort fit Matt Eberflus' defense. He'd anchor the interior and help the pass rush. Odds: +225 to go #29.

3. Kenyon Sadiq

TEOregon

An ultra-athletic tight end who'd give Williams a mismatch weapon. At 6-4, 245 lbs, Sadiq's receiving ability and blocking fit Thomas Brown's offense. He's a red zone target Williams desperately needs. Odds: +300 to go #29.

Draft Strategy

Protect Caleb Williams. The offensive line improved in 2025 but still isn't good enough. Bisontis or another interior lineman should be the priority. If the top OL options are gone, a defensive lineman or tight end makes sense. Williams is the franchise — don't waste him.

Betting Analysis

The #29 pick market leans offensive line. Bisontis leads at +175, Miller at +225, Sadiq at +300. Chicago is -150 to draft an offensive player in Round 1. Bisontis at +175 is the smart play — protecting Williams is the priority. Miller at +225 offers defensive value if the OL targets are gone.
